The inventory percentages on Media Planners are historical estimates to help you understand ad coverage to your target demographic, across a specific geographic area.  We forecast based on past available inventory to help us determine future inventory.   When we quote a percentage, like 44%  that means based on your client’s budget, and the inventory in the past, if we won all available ads IN THE TYPE OF INVENTORY WE BID ON (we don’t bid on remnant, pop ups, non-premium websites,  etc.)  we would cover 44% of available inventory.

Our percentages don’t lock other ad buyers out of this inventory.  Rather it’s the amount of impressions we are bidding on based on your clients budget, and with real time bidding the inventory could change daily.  The higher the percentage the higher likelihood of reaching and saturating a market demographic.
