Some apps (like a Flashlight app or a photo imaging app) don’t contain content so a client might wonder how they get included in a keyword campaign. We aren’t able to see the specific keyword that triggers the ad on an app.  Where there’s no actual text content on the app, for example a flashlight app, there are keywords developers have tagged the app content with which is what is causing our ads to show.   It is up to the app publisher to tag their content, we don’t have control over what they use.   If a client does not want an add to appear on a particular app we can flag these apps to the exchanges, and exclude all of the ones we see from the campaign. Unfortunately, the only way for us to not target these apps is to exclude them when we see them (we can’t do it in advance), or to exclude Mobile Apps all together.
